Home Credit Bank integrates bank card recognition technology by Smart Engines into its mobile banking application to simplify the entry of bank card data and streamline card-to-card transfers or account replenishment for customers.
Now customers simply show the card to a camera on their mobile devices to enter a bank card number needed for mobile banking. Smart Engines’ Smart IDReader technology offers state-of-the-art recognition for bank cards of all types: embossed or flat, with standard horizontal or vertical alignment of identification data, cards with lettering on the back or on the back of the card. Smart IDReader supports card recognition with any background image or natural wear.
The benefit of Smart Engines technology for Bank customers will be unrestricted use of the mobile banking application in real conditions such as in different lighting, on the move, in a taxi or on a train. Card recognition is almost instantaneous and does not require special camera settings or certain lighting conditions.

Currently, a new bank card recognition function has been implemented in the mobile application ”’Home Credit” for the iOS platform and will soon be available for Android users.
