COLUMBIANA – Heidemarie Dressel, 78, of Columbiana died Friday, June 18, 2021, at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

He was born on Feb. 25, 1943, in Wiesbaden, Germany, son of the late Erwin and Elfriede Muschiol Volland.

Heidi was a homemaker and later in life worked at Parkside Health Care Center and Das Dutch Haus Bakery.

He attended Paradise Church, Canfield. Heidi loves to travel, especially home in Germany and all over Europe. She enjoys reading, shopping and spending time with her family.

Heidi is survived by her husband, Richard O. Dressel, whom she married on October 6, 1964; two daughters, Corina (Steve) Wellman of Columbiana and Janet (Ed) Slagle of Leetonia; and two siblings, Norbert (Edith) Volland and Gunter (Christine) Volland, both of Weisbaden, Germany. She is loved by six grandchildren, Jerrid Kotsch, Nicole (Tim) McFarland, Shane (Jennifer) Wellman, Tim Slagle, Nikki Slagle and Vance Slagle along with 10 great -grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three siblings Ilse Winter, Edith Kalabach and Gerda Bibo, and a great -granddaughter Amanda Slagle.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday before the funeral service.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021, at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana with Pastor Ben Cope officiating.

The funeral will take place at Columbiana Cemetery, Columbiana.

Arrangements were entrusted to Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
