Doris Truitt Smith, 95, of Vanceburg, handed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021, on the Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care Heart. His household is by his facet.

Doris was born in Garrison on July 14, 1925, a daughter of the late Thomas S. and Nellie McCleese Truitt.

She graduated in 1943 from Lewis County Excessive College the place she was a cheerleader and member of the Glee Membership. He attended the College of Kentucky Faculty in Ashland the place he earned an affiliate’s diploma. Doris additionally labored for the rationing board throughout World Struggle II. His spouse, Dr. Karl H. Smith, owned and operated New Boston (Ohio) Pharmacy from 1950-1956.

Doris and Karl have been married in 1944 whereas she was attending medical college. Along with her dad and mom, she was preceded in demise by her husband, Dr. Karl H. Smith, on August 30, 2008.

Providers shall be at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Gaydos Funeral House in Vanceburg with Dr. Howard Wilson in cost. Burial will observe at Sundown Cemetery in Quincy.
