More than one million pesos are allocated by Home Credit Philippines, a consumer credit technology company, to help the victims of Super Typhoon Odette which devastated much of the Visayas and Mindanao days before Christmas.

This amount will be channeled through its partner agencies for the distribution of assistance in the field.

In an official statement, Home Credit said it had temporarily suspended operations in areas affected by the typhoon. This means that the collection of loan payments will be temporarily suspended to provide respite for clients affected by the recent disaster in areas declared by the government under Storm Signals 3 and 4. “In the meantime, My Home Credit App will continue to operate. for your financial transactions which you need most during these times, ”the statement added.

In addition, Home Credit allocated a budget to provide financial assistance to its affected employees based in the southern provinces who were on the way to the typhoon. He called for an internal donation campaign and the amount raised will be matched by the company to pool funds for Odette victims among its employees.
