Flee to the Chateau star Angel Strawbridge is back on our screens for a new series of beloved show on Channel 4. But before the return of the new season, the presenter and star honestly expressed about feeling “uncomfortable” shortly after moving to France in 2015.

While appearing on the Netmums podcast, Sweat, Mucus and Tears, the mother of two admitted that soon after moving to France, she and Dick felt they did not “fit in” with local families.

“When we first moved here we started being invited to a lot of dinner parties,” she started, adding: “I felt really uncomfortable because it wasn’t really my thing!”

Explaining more about the “Chateau Set” they felt removed from, he recalled a conversation with his wife, Dick: “I said to Dick one night, ‘Are you having a nice time?’ And he was like, ‘No!’ “

He continued: “‘Then why are we doing this? We don’t have to say yes to everyone!'”

The couple moved to their Chateau in North France in 2015 and despite Angel admitting that they had moved away earlier, the family has been a picture of happiness ever since and will document their incredible journey and home renovation. on their show on Channel 4.
